Yes nuclear weapons are terrifying. I hate that all those countries you mentioned have them. For that matter, I hate that any country has them, including the US and Israel. Remember that the only country to have ever used a nuclear weapon is the US, and I don't find that something to be proud of as an American. The fact that the US is most likely sharing that technology with Israel is very troubling.
This game of: "you didn't say anything about that tragedy, so you aren't allowed to have opinions on this one" too is kind of silly IMHO, and irrelevant. Perhaps I do have opinions on the Syrian Civil War, Chinese persecution of the Uighyrs, violence in Africa, etc. etc. I also have opinions (mostly negative/critical) on the US's policy of heavy-handed use of military force after 9/11. For what it cost in terms of lost life and expense, it accomplished very little. I think Israel is making the same mistake, and ultimately their aggressive use of extreme force is going to make their security situation worse, not better.... Just like how terrorist activity has increased dramatically since the US interventions after 9/11.
Another reason why Americans are might be paying more attention to this conflict than others, is because we are 1) Paying for it and arming Israel with the bombs being dropped on Gaza and 2) Being absolutely bombarded with propoganda, much of it pro-Zionist and 'In Defense of Israel' type stuff.
But, when people start really educating themselves on the history of Israel, they're also finding much to be critical of. Israel's not doing themselves any favors either by creating a humanitarian catastrophe, and then refusing to allow aid in through the access points they almost entierly control (except for the 1 crossing into Gaza operated by Egypt)
Why is America and Egypt and the international community having to pick up the tab and clean up the mess Israel has created.
Of course, the fact that the US is supplying the bombs to Israel that are then dropped to create the humanitarian crisis that the US is then sending aid to... is absurd
