What's interesting is that this was actually proposed decades ago. Alaska had been purchased from Russia and the US was exploring ways of settling it. One idea was to settle Jewish refugees there. As mentioned, it would have been an excellent location in terms of safety/security in being about as far away from their historical enemies in the Middle East.
Alas, the proposal was criticized by both Jews, and Americans who were concerned that an influx of Jews would bring 'un-American' ideas and Marxism.
I guess the much-hyped 'Judeo-Christian' values of the US at that time were far more 'Christian' than 'Judeo.'
Obviously, the European and American powers were fine with supporting the creation of the state of Israel, as long as it was someone else who had to give up (or be forced off) the land.
Of course, Zionists' own insistence on placing Israel in the worst possible spot in terms of its safety/security was a major contributing factor in Israel being established where it is today... and the ongoing turmoil.
