Valid criticisms of the policies of the state of Israel is not 'anti-semitism'. Just because something is not entirely flattering towards Israel, or does not hold it in the most positive light, does not make it 'anti-semitism'

You can be against Hamas and terrorism AND critical of the ways in which Israel is going about this. As an American, I have a vested interest in this since my tax money is being used to fund and supply the weapons.

I don't think indiscriminate carpet bombing of dense population centers and intentionally creating a humanitarian catastrophe, and then refusing to allow aid in is a good tactic, or a good use of military weaponry and aid.

I don't think it's anti-semitic to say that I don't want the bombs I'm buying to be dropped on schools and hospitals.

I also criticize the US's use of these heavy-handed tactics. Heavy bombing of Vietnam did not win the war. 20 years of occupation in Afghanistan did not defeat the Taliban. Years of war in Iraq and Syria have not defeated ISIS.

Criticizing the failures of US foreign policy does not mean I'm 'anti-American' (though I'm very anti-imperialism) or advocating for the destruction of the American people. I want my country to prosper, which is why I'm appalled at the amount of money it spends sowing death and destruction around the world rather than hope and prosperity.

A lot of my thoughts on this matter have been shaped by the opinions and articles written by those of the Jewish faith, who are also critical of the policies of the state of Israel and the IDF. Is it anti-semitic to share the thoughts and opinions also held by many Jews?
