There's plenty of footage of the Israeli fans burning Dutch flags too, and generally terrorizing and intimidating locals with absurdly obnoxious and provocative/threatening behavior. They lost 5-0 to the Dutch team, so there was the typical obnoxious/violent reaction of sports hooligans being poor losers at play here as well, added to all the disgusting racism that the Israeli fans imported from their home country.

This is probably how they act at home too, where it's normalized and accepted and even in vogue. But then being the classic obnoxious tourists and football goons, they ignorantly tried the same crap in a foreign country and yeah.... it doesn't go over so well outside of Israel.

Imagine if guests/tourists to your country started burning your flag in the capital city. Obviously that's not going to play well with the locals.

We get a lot of Canadian sports fans visiting here in the northern US for various baseball and hockey games and 99.9% of them are very courteous and respectful guests. I can only imagine the s***storm that would ensue if they started burning US flags in the city square and chanting death slogans to various minority groups that live in our city. What an mind-numbingly idiotic thing to do.

Granted, US tourists are also notorious for their atrocious behavior abroad, and whenever I see/hear a story of some obnoxious drunk American getting their ass handed to them in some bar brawl abroad because they can't help themselves from thumping their chest and screaming USA in people's faces, I laugh and think, "Good, serves the fool right".

I really am struggling to find a shred of sympathy for obnoxious (probably drunk) belligerent football hooligans that acted despicably as tourists/guests in a foreign country, and then got a taste of their own medicine. Really, I just can't muster up any sympathy. Sorry. If anything, I think it's a bit of vigilante justice or Karma that got dished out to them, and as usual, now they and their 'supporters' are whining and crying because they acted like damn fools as guests in the host country, exposed their racism, and suffered the inevitable consequences for starting brawls with the locals.

Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. Case dismissed.
