"there is no deliberate, state-sponsored extermination policy on Israel’s part"

Just curious: Have the politicians actually running Israel been informed of this? Because almost every day on the news, there's another tirade from one of them mentioning about how they wish to annihilate, nuke, decimate, level, and take Gaza for themselves.

"The fact that Israel still extends humanitarian aid, still attempts to target only militants..."

I think it's laughable at this point as well to claim that Israel has much concern or regard for civilians, medical staff, or humanitarian aid. This is the country that has been dropping US-made 2,000lb bombs wantonly in populated refugee camps, hospitals, and attacking aid convoys. It also engages in the very sorts of acts that would be condemned as 'terrorism' if committed by 'the other side', such as the exploding pager attack, which also injured and maimed medical staff, children, and non-combatants. By its very nature, this attack was designed to target a civilian population and terrorize them.

If Al-Quida hid bombs in electronic devices all over the US and then remotely detonated them, this would endlessly condemned in the Western press as a horrific, indiscriminate attack. I'm endlessly baffled how the 'state' (which is quickly proving to be a rogue state) of Israel gets a free pass on all of this.

If a suicide bomber blows up a bus or truck with civilians and military personnel on board, how is that different than Israel doing the same thing remotely with a drone or 2,000lb bomb? This idea that one is a terrorist but the other is 'righteous' is just propagandistic hogwash to justify a calamitous escalation of conflict in the region.

The Nazis also used this same language of 'defending their fatherland' etc. etc. while engaged in carrying out the Holocaust. It plays well to those ignorant enough to be duped into going along with it.

Protesting the actions of the state of Israel in the current conflict has nothing to do with allegedly denying the horrors of the Holocaust. That's a disingenous argument to say: "You can't say anything critical of Israel because it undermines the seriousness of the Holocaust".

Yes, the Holocaust was terrible. It could happen again. This is the very reason why we should SPEAK UP and protest anything that risks turning into the same catastrophe. It is is you who uses the Holocaust to squash dissent and protest of war and forced displacement tactics which dishonors its severity and completely misses the point of 'Never Again".

It's happening again. Which side are you standing on? Are you going to wait until the death toll climbs to millions before you say, "Hmm, this is starting to look bad".

The Holocaust was only referred to it as such AFTER the fact. No one called it that when only a couple thousand victims had been forced from their homes and to the camps. I'm sure there were people back then too who scoffed at the criticisms of the state of Germany at the time, and said things like, "This is outrageous to call this genocide. REAL genocide is what happened to the Armenians in 1915" blah blah blah
