I'm frequently amused by people on here claiming that the entire world is out to destroy Judaism, yet writing this from countries where Jews are in no way under serious threat (besides the occasional idiot skinhead moron vandalizing synagogues) and enjoy full rights and participate in society, trade, commerce, industry - often as prominent and accomplished and respected members of the community. Countries that have provided immense amounts of aid to Israel and Jewish causes, and safe harbor for Jews.

But the minute someone points out: "Hey, maybe this carpet bombing of civilians in Gaza is excessive".... then people in these countries (predominately US) start firing off with all this language insinuating that all Jews worldwide are directly under attack and in grave peril because someone bothered to point out a criticism of Israeli or IDF policy.

What's amusing to me is yes, there are wack-o conspiracy theorists that believe that all the Jews are conspiring to control the world and this is an offensive trope...

But there is also a trope I find just as obnoxious and that's this "Everyone in the world is out to get the Jews" and "Everything I don't like is anti-semitic" nonsense
