If Israeli-Arabs "enjoy equal rights with other Israelis", then what's this? And why would there be an impetus for passing something like this that establishes preferential treatment of one race or group of people over another?
This seems like a bill that would be incredibly illegal in the United States post Jim Crow, and would be shot down immediately.
I'm not convinced that Israel shares the same 'Western' values that its acolytes would have us believe. I think we're being played for fools.
And sure, some Palestinians in the West Bank live under the jurisdiction of the PA... except for all the ones that don't and are under Israeli military law like in Hebron. Do they get the same benefits, rights and privileges under military occupation that the settlers get who live in the same place?
